I believe that one of the Greek city/states tried running a true democracy. The people got together and voted on every issue.
One day, they were having a big argument about whether cheddar cheese is better on a burger than American cheese and they voted on it and it was a dead-even tie.
And that’s how we got Swiss Burgers.
And I have no idea who voted to put mushrooms on a burger.
Probably a communist.
