Trump is way ahead of these guys. The reason he is refusing to rule out third party is to keep them from treating him unfairly.

IMO the GOP and the Dems should fear a Trump third party. He’s likely to take a large enough segment of voters from both parties to win.

"They don’t want him in the debates because they’re afraid he’ll run on a third party ticket. Wouldn’t it be more likely that he’d run on a third party ticket if he is NOT included in the debates?"

Of course, but then you and I live in a rational universe.

I agree .
Trump could pull that off.
He is a household name and the public trusts him more than either party .

Bad decision to leave out the Don. Alienating Trump from the debate would be a PR problem for each candidate on the stage. The DNC would have a field day. How are you going to talk about the leader of the pack when the leader isn’t there? And if you don’t mention or allude to Trump, it would be perceived as failing to acknowledge the elephant in the room.

... and Trump's exclusion would hurt the poll numbers of those who would participate in the boycott as they would appear weak and would be acting just like the Democrats do.

They may not want to debate with Trump on live TV, but I think they risk serious damage to their campaigns if they don't. Besides, FOX would lose many, many viewers if the leader in the polls isn't present because the other candidates fear him.

Finally! The right outlook.

If Trump goes 3rd Party, I’m going WITH him. It’s our only chance to save the Country. Hopefully, he’ll take Cruz as his Veep. I think with the mood of the voters right now, they’d win in the biggest landslide in U.S. history.

The people who make the Country work are severely pi$$ed. The GOPe’s traitorous actions after being handed a mandate in the most recent election showed EVERYONE just how low and treacherous the GOPe really is.

If they can’t stand up to The Donald and handle him, how are they going to deal with Putin and Hominy Grits?

Bottom line: GOPe would rather have any Democrat win in 2016 than Republican Trump. How childish is that? How is that not selling us down the river?

How much power do we “little people” have over the RNC decisions about debates, etc.? We could stop donating, but most of us have done that already.

I believe that running as the GOP nominee Trump will pull a good deal of Dem votes.

IF he goes Third Party, I hope he calls it the COMMON SENSE PARTY, because who DOESN’T want to have Common Sense?

Never try to make sense of a RINOs action. They do not think ith their brains. They think with their horns.

He might need to fire the GOP and simply do it on his own. By then Trump could have so much support he could win it. A historic political revolt of our time.

I just got an email from Arizona Republican National Committeeman Bruce Ash, who chairs the RNC Rules Committee. He said this is not true; not allowed in the rules.

You know - reading the majority of the replies here - you would think that this country did not suffer a velvet Marxist coup with the help of a complicit oligarchy and that the Constitution is still the supreme law of the land.

Do you people really think you are going to vote yourselves out of tyranny?

Amazing how many have their fingers jammed into their ears to the knuckles while shouting to themselves that the next election will save them.

if they do this to Trump—and he goes 3rd party—He may well win. Didn’t he say he would not play spoiler? But, if they force Jebster on the GOP Votes (as they did McCain and Ronmey) just so Hillary would win—then a new party is needed and Trump can go on a RINO Hunt!

I think you are right, except, if the GOP could get him excluded from the debates, then his numbers could or would be excluded from the polls, by collusion among the pollsters. IOW, say Trump gets 25% and Jeb gets 25% and Walker gets 25 and the rest of them get single digits. Well, the pollsters would just grade on the curve and cease mentioning Trump. I can’t see that being anything effective, but they are stupid enough to try.

Trump is basically playing “Occupy the Republican Party”, LOL. I think it’s great.

differently would not be a smart idea if the gop tried this........they would lose a lot of people who would just say the hell with it and not go out and vote if one of those 3 won the primary

Well you are making the point that the GOPe have been destroying the can-do candidates for decades.

Time to blow up the GOPe and get rid of all the Roves and paid for interests that don’t serve a solid America.
