Psychologically, he couldn’t leave. He was like Jim Jones. Men like him see themselves as indistinguishable from the state. He gave orders to blow up every building and bridge in Germany. He killed the nation and the nation was him. Even if he’d been knocked unconscious and spirited away a man like him could never live in hiding.

Just because an FBI agent had a conspiracy theory doesn’t mean it was correct.

I, no doubt along with other Freepers, have watched documentaries featuring eyewitness accounts of Germans in the bunker with Hitler who claimed to have seen the deceased bodies of Hitler and Eva Braun, as well as those who witnessed and/or participated in the immolation of their bodies. I can't think of any reason they would fabricate such accounts many decades after the war.
