And if he wanted to put his name on a line of televisions they would be made somewhere else, because there are no manufacturers here, period. I don’t know how many clothing manufacturers are available to make them here, or how competitive they are, but I don’t think there are many. Maybe he’s frustrated because he can’t find manufacturers here to make his stuff competitively and wants turn that around. Now if he was responsible for sending the factory out of the country that would be hypocritical.
That was basically the explanation when this first came out in 2011. It isn’t only textile, though, everything in his and his wife’s product lines, from cufflinks to teddy bears. It will come up in the debates for sure.
