The best Rainier I ever had was at Crystal Mountain at the lodge on top of Green Valley. I stowed the beer in a snow bank in the morning, skied until lunch, retrieved the beer, and drank it in the sunshine looking across at Mt. Rainier.

Rainier was sold in Pittsburgh a couple of decades ago and I really enjoyed it.

As I aged my standards have fallen in line with my beer budget. (NO!) Now my go to is Classic Light.

It’s like drinking water from the Monongahela river after a month of rain with bit of strip mine runoff mixed in for a kick.

Best of all it’s CHEAP!
