I rented a 2015 Mustang GT a while back. The independent rear suspension is a huge improvement. It was a fun car to drive.

BMW = Bowel Movement on Wheels...

These aren’t cars that many will cross-shop, and the M4 will cost half-again as much as a performance Mustang. Car & Driver’s as-tested M4 had a price tag of $83k.

A friend of mine sold european cars for decades in the Seattle area. His last stint was at a BMW dealership.
The reason he left was that the money was in used cars because the salesman only made a couple hundred dollars selling a brand new BMW. Kinda sad.
He sees them as way overpriced and relatively unreliable, though he still loves the engineering. Thing is, all the other brands are catching up. I bought my FR-S over a Mini and am VERY glad I did.

Drove a 2012 GT.
Fun, but really cheap interior.
I’ll take a German car over any US Brand.
Selling my Chrysler and putting another VW in the driveway.

I had a 2002 330i. That thing was a blast. About 3k per year in repairs and such. After about 10 years the plastic crap starts to break here and there. Now, I’d choose a Mustang with all the goodies. The new Bimmer’s are still fast but the tech is just overwhelming. They are women’s cars now.

I refuse to give one penny to any American company that is infested with Union employees. Doing so is against my own self interest due to their 100% of marxist candidates.

Right now I have a 2013 Audi S6 with the V8 twin turbo and a 2013 Mercedes C300 4-Matic that is my daily driver.

The 2015 stangs are much nicer now but still not up to Bimmer standards.
Of course if you could have a GT with the goodies, and money enough to buy a Harley Road King, you would have a sweet setup.

There’s not much on the planet that sounds better than a hopped up V8, especially the small block Ford.

When are you going to trade that in for the 2014 Shelby GT500 with the 5.8L Trinity V8 and 662 HP?

Different demographics. Akin to comparing an F1 car and a Nascar. Both are fast racing vehicles, both are fun to drive, both have their core fan bases. But they are very different from each other ...similar to how a M4 is different from a Mustang.
While a M4 is not really 'worth' two Mustangs, it is certainly a better vehicle than the 'stang.

BMW = Bowel Movement on Wheels...(overheard at a cocktail party...) What do you mean, 'Do I know what BMW stands for?' I'm a doctor - I learned the first two in medical school; I just can't figure out what the 'W' stands for.

American car makers haven’t figured it out yet.
Steering confidence. Road handling. In the turns.
Brakes.
Bimmer will bust a Ford’s chops.

I've always respected the engineering of BMWs...but the styling is butt ugly and still stuck in the 70s.
Even the new Kia models are more attractive and contemporary.
But my heart will always go to the Lambos - esp the new Lamborghini Huracan .

If I was to spend that kind of money on a car it would be the Audi R8.
The quad drive and all that 726-HP with superchargers just gives me goose bumps.
Not many know how to drive a car like that, but I do. :)
