I can imagine the “strong delusion” Paul referred to in II Thes. begin something like “you shall be as gods” essentially, you can have heaven on earth without God.
I can imagine transhuman, life-extending technology being promised to all who will take the “mark of the beast”.
The antichrist would basically be promising eternal life to all who will follow his as a direct counterfeit of Christ’s promise.
