Someone mentioned a week or two ago that Amazon has not actually started making money yet. Does anyone know if this is true? I was a bit shocked...
That is correct. Whatever money Bezos makes he plows back into Amazon.
If Amazon isn’t malking money yet, then why are they buying/merging other companies with them? I hated it when W00t became an Amazon partner.
Well they don’t technically turn a profit because it all goes back into the business. But they make enough money to buy a company every couple of weeks. And not little companies, E-Bay companies. So no it’s not really true. They make tons of money, they just don’t let it sit around in the bank.
