Bad as the metric system is they’d just replace it with something based on “climate change constants”...

I read once that if the Earth was reduced to the size of a billiard cue ball, it would be smoother than a cue ball. I suppose at the atomic level it doesn’t make much difference................

It would seem to me that if Si-28 has cubic cells, wouldnt it be easier to measure the mass if it were in the shape of a cube rather than a sphere? Wouldnt the surface of the sphere, at the atomic level, have partial cubic cells, thus making them harder to count? /tt>
I read once that if the Earth was reduced to the size of a billiard cue ball, it would be smoother than a cue ball.I read the same thing.
I suppose at the atomic level it doesnt make much difference................But then, 20 atoms in 602.2 sextillion "doesnt make much difference to most of us, either.

Id hate to be the guy whose job is to count all those Carbon-14 atoms. It's a boring job, but someone's gotta do it.

It seems to me that it would be easier to separate 20 atoms all by themselves then you can weigh them.................;^)

Oh yeah? Just put some litres in a gas tank that was designed to use gallons. Then you’ll probably find out how “easy” it can be to damage your engine.
