Sometimes we can be all the same guy. Especially with the country and the punk since most of the good punk rockers are big fans of Johnny Cash.

I can appreciate that. Unfortunately many, especially the fringe who always populate the net, are quite narrow-minded.

I am extremely eclectic, though I admit I tend to dislike noise like metal or rap. 2 sides of the same coin to me.

But I DEFINITELY like many of the more popular examples of them. As well as other hard stuuf. Never mind the soft, truly talented and beautiful stuff.

I was just thinking the same. While metal may be my primary there is a LOT of other music I listen to from Johnny Cash to the Talking Heads. One of the reasons I watch the sci fi show Defiance today is because of the opening scene with the Nolan and Arissa singing a June and Johnny duet.

Johnny Cash...Absolutely! Also loved a lot of punk rock.

My husband is more pure metal; he had Dio ‘tapes’, LOL. Ratt. I just remember tons of songs. I know these are different genres, but I love Ted Nugent and my favorite band (hope I’m still accepted here! is Def Leppard)!

Good music is good music, and I think we can all agree that hip hop or rap just isn’t it.

Although I do think Eminem is really talented. Some of his songs make me cry. The one where he sings about his friend who got killed.
