I’m in Ohio... I think we should change our state flower to ‘mold’!

LOL. Since mold is already taken, PA can rename theirs "mildew".

If we built oil pipelines, we could use all the surplus railroad tank cars to send water to Cali, LOL.

Yes, and don’t forget the deer flies. I already have two scars from their horrible bites.
DEET’s icky, but if I wear white clothing when going out to get the newspaper as Bryan
is leaving for work, they chase after his enormous black 1996 Chevy Impala SS and they
ignore me.

*Sniffle*

They have not yet wounded the Impala, but they cannot resist large, black or dark-colored things.

Mosquitoes? Meh... I have AfterBite.

I didn’t know you two FReepers lived in Ohio. We’re over here in Bugtussle among 1,000s of acres
of farm land. Our neighborhood farmer put in soybeans this year. I guess he didn’t want to do
corn for some reason. (???)

Send it to Washington State. We are desperately in need of water right now -— everything is so dry, on both the West and East side of the mountains.

A history lesson from a 70 year resident of southern Ohio: I have seen this before.
There are technical explanations on the Weather Service webpage of the daily forecast under “Forecast discussion”. Basically, cold fronts are stalling out, allowing surface lows to slide along the front bringing plenty of rain. Some years it’s snow, but this isn’t all that unusual. Sometime during the spring, we get a thirty day stretch that is more rain than sun. This year it’s a bit late.
The year I remember most vividly would be 1965 or 66. My best friend was getting married on May 31st. It rained everyday in May that year, except for two; the day of her bridal shower, and the day of her wedding.

“Also the coolest / coldest - spring /summer in my 60+ years”

Aye, here in northern Nevada we have had rain every day this week. Yesterday in Reno in mid July the temperature was a balmy 64 degrees.

ohhh...ohhh...

I got another one..

fubo grabbed bush’s weather machine ( you know the one that caused Katrina) and stuck it in Chicago to punish Wisconsin and Michigan for electing republicans...

that makes the most sense to me... :)
