No need to worry. The best and the brightest on Wall Street are just technically incompetent.
To: Citizen Zed
However, the tech bloggers were upset because they are convinced it is a total breach/cyber attack.

the brightest on Wall Street everywhere and anywhere are just technically incompetent. More true ... but 'what does it matter'? The curve applies and glitch appears to all exposed code and technically ... all code is probably exposed much like being neckid ... though the patch is considered the cure ... truth is ... there probably is 'no cure'

[the New York Stock Exchange has stated firmly that the halt in trading was the result of an internal error and not a malicious attack an assertion echoed by the federal government.]
Imagine the loss of confidence if this weren’t true. Might create a selling panic. Not that the NYSE and Fed would not admit it if it was. /tinfoil off

Certainly one amazing coincidence between late Tuesday evening, a reference to Wednesday and a Wednesday glitch.
And here I was offline all day. Had no idea until the evening propaganda. Oops, I mean “news” of course.

The magic 8 ball of reporting continues...
“Islam is a religion of peace”
“This event is work place violence”
“This event is Bush’s fault”
“This event is an internal glitch”
“This event was caused by republican spending cuts”
“Nothing done in the name of Islam has anything to do with Islam”
“The DOJ has investigated and found no evidence of wrong doing”
“This event has links to tea party groups”

I almost always call bullshit on conspiracy theories. Except this one.
No one does software upgrades on a live system in the middle of a week.
Any CEO worth a nickel would have been out there explaining what happened. Their silence indicated they either had no idea, or they knew and by disclosing it would have caused panic.
There is so much about this that simply stinks.
To: Citizen Zed
I simply do not believe anything the media or government says. No intelligent person would either.

This is exactly what you would expect them to say whether it was true or not.

While the tweet from the hackers collective may seem prophetic at first glance, the New York Stock Exchange has stated firmly that the halt in trading was the result of an internal error and not a malicious attack an assertion echoed by the federal government.Bullship.
I have it on good authority that China launched a small attack yesterday as a response to a small attack we performed on them.
