If a person ever really took time to read the lyrics to "Imagine" yeah it sure sounded like it. That and atheist/secularist humanist and it became that movements anthem. It has to be the most overrated song ever written. It think the music distracts kinda hypnotizes listeners to where they don't understand the crappy lyrics LOL.
Ono's singing reminds me of Morticia's singing on The Addams Family if anyone remembers that.
I've seen a YOUTUBE Video of The Beatles singing "Help" soon after it's release. John suddenly jumps from the first to third verse leaving Paul and George singing the second one. Really George was The Beatles guitar sound you can tell it in his post Beatles recordings. George and Ringo were also good song writers in their own right. They co-wrote Ringo's post Beatle hit Photograph.

Charles Manson, the notorious cult leader, has broken a 20-year silence in an interview from his prison cell to warn the world of an impending apocalypse due to global warming.
...Refusing to discuss whether he still posed a danger to society ahead of a parole review scheduled for next year, he instead warned of a “greater danger” – that of global warming.
“Everyone’s God and if we don’t wake up to that there’s going to be no weather because our polar caps are melting because we’re doing bad things to the atmosphere,” he said.

Actually, I recently read that john had moved rightward toward the end. The story I read mentioned some conservative literature on his night stand.
