8 Illinois Men Arrested after Louis Vuitton Robbery, High-Speed Chase

Eight men from Illinois were arrested after police say a robbery at a Louis Vuitton store in Edina turned into a chase across the Twin Cities metro.

The robbery was reported at 10:09 a.m. Wednesday by an employee of the Louis Vuitton at the Galleria. The employee said several men took items from the store and left in a black minivan. No weapons were involved, police say.

Police say the suspects traveled on France Avenue to Interstate 494 to Highway 52 to Interstate 94, ending up in Woodbury. The suspect vehicle also hit another vehicle during the chase, but no injuries were reported.

A Bloomington police officer performed a pit maneuver, ending the chase.

The suspects were identified as 22-year-old Derrick Crowder, 23-year-old William Percy Curry, 22-year-old Clyde Edward Dobbs, 22-year-old Thomas Dyshy Gaston Jr., 21-year-old Darion Savon Hood, 21-year-old Shawn Devon Mondie, 38-year-old Danny Ray Robinson and 29-year-old Leon White. All of the suspects are from Illinois.

Police say more than $20,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from the store.

They would have passed about a 1/4 of a mile from where I'm sitting right now to get onto 494.

5. Just doing a “job” to keep illegals from doing it.
6. They were actually just going to buy a Futon but they couldn’t spell right.
