Joe in post #2 is right.
My experience is that (here at least) they make every effort to be accommodating.
And don’t go ‘the moral route’. You’ll be branded a nut-case at the store, and they’ll probably be correct. This is simply a business decision.
By way of example, I bought a bunch of LED bulbs there, and some have burnt out, others are dimming a little more every day.
The ones I’ve taken back have been replaced without question, and without receipt. I expect they will do it again in the future.
Big disappointment, those LEDs. Hasn’t been even a year.
Stop calling. Stop hand wringing. Take it down the best you can, broken parts and all, and truck it back to them.
Collect your refund check.
It really will be that simple.
We’ve had the same experience with the LED bulbs. Huge disappointment, especially at the price they are. We just keep replacing them with a different brand than the last ones and hope they work better.
