Think Hollywood is bereft of original ideas? You just might after this. Here's our look at the assorted movie sequels currently in the works.
Since we last did a list like this, we've dropped films that seem to have died a death - Wanted 2, Spring Breakers 2 - but we'll keep this rundown up to date over the coming months.
Without further ado...

There’s going to be a sequel to “Top Gun.”
The original came out thirty years ago.
I’m impressed by a Navy fighter pilot in his fifties. Curious to see how Tom Cruise pulls it off.

That doesn’t need to be remade. I remember showing it to our girls when they were little. Four or five I suppose? They called her “the pretty lady”.
When the creature would first show itself, they would run to the front door, fling it open, and yell out “Run Pretty Lady! Run Pretty lady!!!”
They also liked some of the silent movies (”The General” was their favorite.) I thought they might like “Dracula”. They started crying hysterically - it was too scary - so I turned that off.

Doesn’t Hollywood have any writers at all?
I only saw 3 that I’d even consider watching and then only after they came to Netflix.

That was a great scene. Also the one where he swims parallel to her but upside down.

Hollywood motto: what you lack in creativity you can make up with remakes and sequels .... the stupid unwashed masses won’t know the difference.

Spaceballs 2? Would that be the one that carries the extended title: "The Search for More Money"?
Hmm, it *would* be perfectly timed to play off of the new Star Wars flick.

This is a list of sequels, but doesn't include some of the needless "remakes". Of that type, the big one is filming in Rome right now: Ben-Hur.
Bet they rinse out all the Christian content.
