MALONE, N.Y. — David Sweat, the surviving prison escapee on the run in northern New York for three weeks, was shot by a state trooper on Sunday, according to the authorities.
Mr. Sweat, 35, was alive and in custody, Sheriff David Favro of Clinton County said. He was taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. His condition was not immediately available.
The shooting occurred after Sgt. Jay Cook of the State Police saw a suspicious man walking down a roadway in the Town of Constable, accordin to the state police. The sergeant ordered Mr. Sweat to stop, but he broke into a run and the sergeant, a firearms instructor, opened fire, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. It was not immediately clear how many shots were fired or whether Mr. Sweat was armed.

Curious. These guys were on the run for three weeks and yet didn’t hurt anyone.
Back during the Dole/Clinton/Perot election, I worked with a woman who was as rabid anti-NAFTA as I was. We talked about it chapter and verse. It was either the mortician Dole or the Texan Perot for us. After Clinton's win, I asked her who she voted for and she said "Clinton".

Nobody knows if they didn’t kill anyone. I was just thinking today if they happened on a cabin that was occupied, maybe they have killed someone and disposed of the body. Time will tell.

Just heard Cuomo say that Sweat was unarmed..wait, so they shot an unarmed white man and people were clapping(Im just calling out the hypocrisy from those on the left, if this guy were black there would be riots in the streets) Im glad the POS was shot too bad they didnt kill him
I know, right? I had a female relative say a similar thing — "He (Clinton) would be a fun guy at a party." The same person, who held the rest of the family in mortal terror for any missteps (according to her) also objected to Ruth Bader Ginsburg's nomination "because she is so unattractive." While I wholeheartedly agree as to her personal appearance, that's hardly a basis for evaluating a (so-called) "Justice" of the Supreme Court. Which reminds me of another female friend who said she would never listen to the blazingly talented and much-awarded pop singer Adele "because she is so fat."

Odd, how they were able to do a complete autopsy on Matt and issue a report in about two days, but, in over 30 days, they haven’t issued the autopsy reports on the nine bikers killed at the Waco, TX Twin Peaks. Seems to be a bit of a smell. Inclines me to believe all of the TX decedents were killed by small caliber, high velocity rounds, mostly in their heads.
Again, the cops better damn well hope these two fellas weren’t running off to get hitched up.

I haven't heard one word about the guy or woman who was running this Club Fed for inmates...also condoning inmate freedom to do anything, go anywhere, wear anything, and use closets for brothels.
Either this person is being protected for some reason, or he doesn't exist and the joint is being run by the inmates.
Well, we know it WAS being run by the inmates and corrupted guards and personnel....but really, the lack of the name of the top enchilada of the facility sticks out like a porcupine at a nudist camp.
This personage's name should have been on everyone's list for the past two weeks, that's fer shur.
