Actually conservatives should be part of that chaos.

I don’t disagree but the fact that the Tea Party wasn’t able to sustain and grow the movement calls into question conservative willingness to fight back. Even amongst the conservatives I know, there is little appetite for meaningful resistance. It seems that Americans are more interested in their daily comforts and diversions than they are in securing freedom for themselves and their children.

And then there’s the problem of normalcy bias to overcome. Inertia is a hard thing to break.
