Years ago we were driving late at night somewhere in the middle of the country. We were listening to something on the radio. A caller came on and said in a shaky voice. “ far below the surface of the earth lives a race of small people “.

We laughed so long and hard that we missed the rest of it. When ever MrD or I hear someone saying something strange we look at each other and say “ far below the surface of the earth” and the laughter starts again!
