So the question is are the my-way-or-the-highway purists who sat home and pouted in 2008 and 2012 going to further our downfall by doing the same thing next year?

Or are "conservatives" who perpetuate the problems the movement faces going to get their way and nominate another unelectable mushy moderate, giving us the last kick over the edge into the abyss?

And then come crying to FR about how "we lost the country"?

We tried it your way. It didn't work.

No their way worked exactly as they intended it to work. it got more liberals into power. And it used FR and other right wing websites to help that happen.

Colonel, I can’t remember a time (and I am an oldster) when I agreed fully with any candidate. There is no “my way.” I never expect it.

I’m a realist.

And I see dark skies ahead if the scales don’t tip our way this next election. Only a coalition of the disgusted — regardless of what political label they wear — will tip that scale.

And it can’t happen if purists wear their blinders, sit on their fat butts, and stay home on election day. Much better to hold your nose on election day than to tolerate the stink that we’ve allowed our society to become.
