Victory in 2016. The left may well regret this week (vanity)

I think there is a distinct possibility that these two disastrous rulings by the USSC may have finally woken up the sleeping Silent Majority.

The libs are dancing in the streets now but in Nov. 2016, they may be regret getting what they wished for.

The fact is that most blacks and Latinos are against gay marriage.

I think the Dems are in for a major defeat in 2016, on all fronts.

Maybe I'm being optimistic. But I don't think so.

Throwing a hissy fit and making sure Hilary or Bernie Sanders picks the next 4 SCOTUS justices is no way to go through life.

But even if you are correct and Republicans sweep everything in 2016. Will anything change? Republicans have pretty much agreed that “obamacare” is to entrenched now, and, God forbid, a few people might be inconvienced if it was repealed and they aren’t going to touch Gay Marriage with a ten foot pole for fear of being labeled intolerant by the liberal media. Or to put it in football terms, it seems every democrat administration the liberals gain ten yards, and the best Republicans and Conservatives can do is hold them to the line of scrimmage when we are in the majority, but none of their “progress” is ever reversed.

I do love my people here, but here’s where I fundamentally disagree ... we are not a majority. We are a rapidly shrinking minority. THAT is the problem.

There will be no sudden swelling of support. There will not be millions, or even thousands, taking to the streets.

And this is what makes me the most angry.

Most blacks and Latinos will vote Dem anyway. I remember in 2011 my father was telling me that all the young engineers at the company where he works had voted for Obama in 08 but were really POd about Obamacare and that would doom Obama in 2012. Didn’t happen though because most people don’t vote single issue.
In the end they still support more Dem positions than Repub positions and will vote accordingly.

Who helped give us this current disaster? Those who stayed home in 2008?
Ok, it was voter fraud...got it.
hmm
We are going to HAVE to drop the social issues and get out there and vote for the country’s survival.
THEN we can address the social issues.
2016 make or break. SURVIVE first.

It is “something else”. We are just not that numerous. Take from that those actually willing to take to the streets and it’s just not that many.

It's not who votes, but who counts the votes.

I fully expect the corrupt system to put Dems back in charge regardless of the vote, and there will be no pushback by the GOP like in 2000, 2004.

The Rats lost in 2014, but actually they won. The sleeping giant is us and we’re being pushed around by both parties. If Cruz wins in 2016, little will change.

We have to get through the next 1.5 years 1st. A lot of (more) bad things could happen between now and then. If the last couple of days is any indication, by then there may not even BE a next POTUS election.....Sound paranoid? I HOPE SO.

Mind of like Reagan who gave us Anthony Kennedy. We have a systemic problem not a personnel problem.

The left may well regret this terrible week, but so will all decent people in America. This was a devastating defeat for freedom and for the rule of law. Even if we elect a real American as president in 2016, the precedent has been set. The Constitution and the words of our laws now mean nothing at all; we have a king who can interpret anything or nothing into the written documents that used to support our government.

The federal government has lost its last shreds of legitimacy, and all we have left is the rule of force. This will cost us all. If the president in 2021 says that “the right of the people” doesn’t include Jews or Christians (or gays), then those groups will be marched to wherever they are sent. If the president in 2021 says that the Second Amendment is not an individual right, then Civil War II will commence unless 80 million individuals voluntarily disarm when ordered. If the president in 2021 says that by Executive Amnesty, all illegals are now citizens and registered voters, then the precedent has been set. The law is whatever a majority of justices claim it was intended to be, regardless of the words on the law. This is terrible for everyone, and the schadenfreude of watching members of picked liberal groups as the first ones wiped out will not balance the fact that we will all be vulnerable.

But they're democrats first, and they know dems are always going to give soothing words to their wants.

A bridge too far. Now the Democrats and the SCOTUS OWN the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010”, lock, stock, and rain barrel.

Neither House of Congress should take up any legislation to repair the fail points on this poorly written and ambiguous piece of garbage, unless it is to send up a proposal for repeal. No replacement, just repeal. Rather than replace, set up a climate in which tort actions are greatly restricted, the right to purchase the kind and degree of insurance BY THE INDIVIDUAL is not impaired, and the spectre of compulsory coverage is removed. For those who have special problems, like an otherwise uninsurable condition, a contingency fund tied to disability or either underemployment or unemployment, should be part of a compensation package administered through state employment offices (but not funded from the unemployment benefit funds). Otherwise it is the responsibility of the wage earner(s) of the family to cover the medical costs incurred by the family unit through their own resources.

Not the employer, not the municipal, state or Federal government, and for sure, not the “rich”, who couldn’t be able to cover more than a small fraction of the incurred liabilities anyway.

Voting doesn’t matter. It is clear the Left has all the power of the bureaucracy, backed by SCOTUS, to cram whatever they desire down our collective piehole.

Besides, I fully expect the GOPe to successfully engineer the nomination of Jeb Bush through skullduggery. And even if she is running behind, Hillary can easily buy a victory by promising to forgive student loans.

“Toast” pretty much sums it up.

Don't think so. It will be a miracle if we don't get Jeppito or some other RINO and we will all have throw up in our mouths as we have to pull the lever one more time for the evil of 2 lessers.

Not me, perhaps I'll start a FR BBQ thread on that Nov 8th as an alternative for us to share our recipes as we stay home...
