Cops are in less danger than commercial fishermen, lumberjacks, roofers, and a half-dozen other occupations.

You still wouldn't come if I called for help

and neither would the fishermen, lumberjacks, roofers, and a half-dozen other occupations.

You’d be surprised who would come if you call.

Ever call anyone for help?

We don’t call the cops for any reason. Well maybe if we need them to haul the bodies away from the foyer. :=)

Do not call the police for anything.

“Will you put your life in danger for me?”

Cops won’t. Officer safety is the mostest importantest thing these days. Just ask them.

I don’t know you ,, and neither does that cop that won’t show up for you until after he delays a few minutes to allow the danger to pass.

Save yourself Donna. There isn’t any cavalry,, it’s just Barney Fife and he pees himself when a small dog chained up and not the least bit of a danger barks at him ... he’ll show that puppy who’s boss!

You can’t even admit that cops do stuff you would never do.

None of them will come to help me.

But, a cop will come to help me at risk to himself.

Cops are true heroes.

******************
You’re right , I have relatives that are cops ,, one was respectable , an uncle who was a longtime detective... My cousin and all his cop friends who joined in the 1980’s are rogue thugs ... he used the “stop and frisk” illegal searches to gather his “retirement” fund ,, a closet full of cocaine , heroin and guns... The cops in DEA are 100 times worse... nothing like vacationing in the Caymans to visit your cash.. and living like a king way beyond your income and knowing you’re immune to investigation.

Here in my small city , 1200 miles away 30% of the force was fired in 2004 for basically taking bribes from a group of drug dealers to let them do business unmolested....

When you meet an honest cop think twice about your assessment of him ,, the “honest” ones ALLOW the dishonest to thrive by not weeding them out.

All those professions are far more dangerous than being a cop. I have done 4 of them...

I’ve never consisered being threatened by a highwayman “help”; the people who have actually helped me haven’t threatened me, with jail or assault, to follow their orders.

May your chains rest lightly upon you.

Do you realize how elitist it is to claim that none of them would help you when the lives of every American is enriched by the highly dangerous work they do?

But then, when you’re immersed in Statist worship, only a beloved government employee will do, it would seem.

Police have no responsibility to protect individuals (reference)
Public Rights ^ | 2005 | compiled by Neal Seaman

Police have no legal duty to respond and prevent crime or protect the victim. There have BEEN OVER 10 various supreme and state court cases the individual has never won. Notably, the Supreme Court STATED about the responsibility of police for the security of your family and loved ones is
“You, and only you, are responsible for your security and the security of your family and loved ones. That was the essence of a U.S. Supreme Court decision in the early 1980’s when they ruled that the police do not have a duty to protect you as an individual, but to protect society as a whole.”

“It is well-settled fact of American law that the police have no legal duty to protect any individual citizen from crime, even if the citizen has received death threats and the police have negligently failed to provide protection.”

7/15/05 SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES No. 04-278 TOWN OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO, PETITIONER v. JESSICA GONZALES, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS NEXT BEST FRIEND OF HER DECEASED MINOR CHILDREN, REBECCA GONZALES, KATHERYN GONZALES, AND LESLIE GONZALES
On June 27, in the case of Castle Rock v. Gonzales, the Supreme Court found that Jessica Gonzales did not have a constitutional right to individual police protection even in the presence of a restraining order. Mrs. Gonzales’ husband with a track record of violence, stabbing Mrs. Gonzales to death, Mrs. Gonzales’ family could not get the Supreme Court to change their unanimous decision for one’s individual protection.

Do not rely on government employees for your protection. They have already stated their duty is not to protect you, the individual, even if you have a restraining order.

You better have a plan for saving your own life that doesn’t involve 9-11 should the bad guy enter your home.

The "charging dog" meme is such a bunch of nonsense.

99.9% of household canines are all bark and no bite. Sure, they will charge you and yip-yip-yip or bark-bark-bark. They might even dance around your feet and take little nips at your ankles. Simply standing your ground and showing who is in command will almost always keep the dog at bay. A dog who, by the way, is only instinctively guarding its property and owners. Only a coward would truly get scared in this situation. Most likely, we had a trigger-happy cop who wanted a reason to discharge his firearm.

Being that the officer missed shooting the dog, it's curious to note that no dog bites were reported.

Will you give me your number? No, you won’t, but the cops will come at risk to themselves if I call.

Now that’s honorable.

If they come, they’ll come minutes later—after the criminal has already completed his objective—and take a report.

Not good odds if the rapist/murderer is already in your home.

Every second will count.

Hope you aren’t expecting the police to provide you personal protection-—no court in the land will back up your claim that it’s their job.

May your chains rest lightly upon you.
