Okay, finished the film. Its very manipulative like a Michael Moore movie.

It reminds me of when I watched “Alleged” last year. For years, their were cartoonish depictions of what happened at the Scopes Monkey Trial. Alleged came out in 2010 and promised to show a more “accurate version”of what happened. They certainly did, but the director and writer are creationists with an axe to grind, so they write all the evolutionists in the movie as pure evil and ascribe evil motives to them. They basically add a a bunch of made-up dialogue and a fictional subplot about eugenics to convince the audience “the theory of evolution is eeeeeeeeevil”. Aside from that, the movie is good and Colm Meaney does a great job as H. L. Mencken

Boys Dont Cry tells a pretty compelling narrative of a real life incident, but the filmmakers basically depict anyone who doesn’t accept the transgendered chick’s gender identity to be hateful, vicious people. Pretty much any character who doesn’t accept “Brandon” as male once they learn she’s really a girl is extremely nasty and verbally assaults and abuses the main character. Of course she was raped and killed in real life, but its a bit like Harry Potter where you have to accept that everyone at Hogwart’s who joins Slytherin is AUTOMATICALLY evil.

The movie was actually pretty boring and depressing, in spite of the fact we get to see Hilary Swank’s butt. I give it two of our four stars. At least its better than the “true story” Patch Adams. I avoided that movie for years because I thought it would be lame, watched it after Robin Williams died, and it IS lame. The real life Patch Adams is nothing like the movie version. I’d say about 80% of THAT film is fictional, whereas Boys Don’t Cry is about 70% accurate about what happened, and its main flaw is all the characters are written a certain way so they conform with the filmmakers agenda.

Another vastly overrated “LGBT” agenda film: Philadelphia. Whoever gave Tom Hanks the Oscar for that movie was smoking some good stuff. His performance sucked. At least the music was good.

Two GOOD movies about a lesbian relationship that ends tragically: 1) Monster, and 2) Heavenly Creatures.

And I still refuse to watch Brokeback Mountain.

"I still refuse to watch Brokeback Mountain."

I've seen it. It was boring, ponderous. It had no real plot. Only good scene, Anne Hathaway shows her boobies. The faggotry literally comes out of nowhere, Jake Gly just starts rubbing up against Heath Ledger, Heath is grossed out but then decides to go with it, a real WTF. Jake is a queer but still initiates a relationship with Anne Hathaway for some reason. Heath shows no other interest in men whatsoever, only women, it's just bizarre. The story was written by some woman, I guess it's just her stupid fantasy ala "50 Shades of Gray". Garbage. I don't even see why gays would like it.

I remember this trailer for it, it had lots of 4th of July fireworks and showed the male characters with their wives. LOL, advertising.

If the central element was anything besides faggotry (say they had sex with sheep instead of each other) it would have been panned.
