Me

I would rather have Johnny Miller than this crowd. Really? Joe Buck? And who is the stripper that interviews the golfers after their round??

Every single golfer three putted at least once.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before on the pro level.

Me neither. It was like the U.S. “DystOpen” in that respect.

...In the old days they played on a lot of different quality golf courses and mostly public golf courses. The idea that every course should be like a carpet takes all the variety out of the game....
******************************
Exactly! Hogan, Nelson, et al, didn’t play on pristine courses! Many of their tournaments were on public courses.

This event was an “Open”, permitting anyone who could qualify and not just for pampered pros. The vast majority of US golfers play on public courses that have ‘bumpy’ greens and sometimes fairways with little grass in the Summer. ...Too bad some of the pros had to whine about the conditions that regular duffers play in daily.

Brandel Chamblee and Frank Nobilo both were critical of the conditions, while David Duval was much more realistic about the course being a fair test. Joe Buck was just his usual: dork!

People actually watch golf on TV?

I tried once. But I soon realized that it was more exciting to watch my clothes go round-n-round in the dryer.

FLOG AKA Cow Pasture Pool. The World’s most useless sport. (and I use the term “sport” loosely)

NASCAR- Every thing else is just a game;)

After seeing this course,
You have to wonder what group of numbskulls chose this moonscape craphole.
NO one will seek this joint to take their dog for a crap walk much less to play a round of golf.

I live near Seattle for a while and it was the greenest place on the planet. That’s all you could see, green.

Buck is not a golf expert and wisely avoided trying to lecture us on golf's finer points. He seemed to play "straight man" for most of the coverage. Norman is a true gentleman and very polite. The way he handled his own catastrophes in majors was pure class. Wish his voice resonated better; He was hard to hear sometimes. The other golfers on the broadcast (Faxon, Weisskopf, Inkster) seemed to have few chances to contribute. The camera crews seemed to get in the way a lot; The players were asking for them to move quite a bit. The split screen following Jason Day walking seemed like NBC's Olypics coverage. Maybe they were hoping he'd fall again and didn't want to miss it.

It sound like the whole crew was skirting the issue of players criticizing the course.

Yes, all players play the same course but that doesn't mean it's fair. When a well struck shot is penalized or an off line shot gets rewarded the course is not identifying the best players. This course had fairways so tilted that a well struck drive might roll 40-50 yards sideways. A shot two feet off line may get punished as severely as a wild slice or hook. After Winged Foot in 1974 the USGA understood this and instituted measures like an intermediate cut of rough so a drive that trickles off the fairway isn't met with the same penalty as a drive 30 yards off line. This course seemed a step backward in that regard. This was a blown up version of miniature golf not befitting a major championship.

Since you're itching to call me jealous, why not go straight to it? That's what I usually get from objecting to how fox babes get portrayed, or how they want to be portrayed, on some if the shows--

Did you even read my post?

Examine how F&F camera puts a woman's crotch in the exact centerif the screen, with an extremely short dress and uncross ing and crossing of legs. It's just embarrassing, vulgar, and the chief reason I switch to Fix Business instead if News. I'm fine with them being pretty, I just want them clothed and sitting like ladies. As it is, it's pretty close to adolescent porn.

Ah, a woman must be nearly makes to appeal to you? Well, porn us widely available in the internet. I don’t see how you are being deprived. It’s always been my personal theory that men who expect woman half-naked in public have a really weak sex drive.

But I’m just so happy not to hear TIGER, TIGER, TIGER every 2 seconds.

True but they made up for it yesterday by obsessing over Jason Day's vertigo. They cut from covering Spieth and Grace a couple of times just so we could be treated to the grand spectacle of watching Day walk up stairs and cross over to his next tee.

She wasn’t “half naked”.

You’re exposing your own insecurities.

I don’t know where to start.

Too many shots of golfers simply standing around. The camera, followed Jason Day for 5 minutes as he and his caddy trekked across a seemingly endless maze of walkways. Too much split screen action. And no Yani.

It was just bad.

The gal on Fox and Friends was half-naked. Squirrel shots before my first cup of coffee has sent me to Fox Biz with Maria, who doesn’t see fit to model her thong. Fox n Friends may be for old duffers in Viagra

This tournament looked like Mountain Ball not golf. It wasn't fun to watch as a good shot resulted in the ball rolling 70 feet down a cart path into a mine entrance covered by a rake!

The woman that interviewed the golfers at the end looked like she just had back surgery and was still on pain meds!

Poor decision to hold this tournament in a place that used as an experiment. It was all luck where your ball ended up, not skill.

I knew what you meant. I was listening on my truck radio. Crazy finish. An edit function would be great. Take care.
