I heard Rush talking about how effed this was going to be, but I don’t know nutin bout golf, so it mostly went right passed me. He didn’t mention anything about strippers though.

The reason the grass is so brown is because fine fescue goes somewhat dormant in the summer. And the greens have the same type of grass as the fairways so there’s literally no difference.
Unfortunately, poe anna has a tendency to invade fescue, especially in the summer, which leads to bumpy putts.
Still, it’s kinda amusing to see the top pros struggling like a weekend hacker when they’re putting.
The passenger and freight trains going by add a nice touch.
Really it looks like they are golfing in hell or something.
I guess the coverage isn’t bothering me too much, although they do seem a tad over their heads. But I’m just so happy not to hear TIGER, TIGER, TIGER every 2 seconds.
The camera work really reminds me of older BBC coverage of the Open Championship. Jerky with only a general idea of where the ball might be.

I googled this course yesterday, it’s built on what was once a gravel pit!

That's what it looks like to me. Too many long shots make it difficult to see the ball on the ugly brown gravel pit/golf course. Terrible course; terrible coverage.
I thought that part of the country got a ton of rain, why is the course so dried out?

It seldom rains during the summer there. It rains (or mists) most of the rest of the year. Average yearly rainfall is similar to Wisconsin.
It is links-like...I’m enjoying both the course and the coverage (on the computer, don’t have TV).
I have noticed that at tables, Fox always puts the women with the nicest legs on the sides, wearing their skirts, so that their long legs can be seen on camera.
On Friends, you have some blonde in the middle with a too-short shift on, and the camera is absolutely centered on her crotch. I really can't enjoy a news show. Maybe that's prude, maybe that's "Mom"--but I just want to tell these "strippers" to put some clothes on!!!
I live in this state, and I would expect brown greens and brown weedy areas in the middle of the state near Moses Lake, I am flabbergasted that a Seattle/Tacoma area golf course looks so horrible, at least on the telly....I understand its been dry in Seattle and Portland so far this year...(its dry everywhere in the west)
Sure...We like to stand in front of the tv and swing when the golfer swings...We pretend that it is us who is hitting the ball...
