So do you expect Toyota passenger cars, SUVs, or small trucks with diesels anytime soon in the US?
I am in the market for small to medium sized passenger vehicle, diesel.
So far it looks like VW/Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Chevy are the choices.
The 2.0 liter engines from VW/Audi, BMW and Chevy seem like the choice for EPA fuel mileage, which is about 30 city and 40 hwy.
Any suggestions?
Yeah, buy my 1984 300D and revamp it. LOL
Why would you buy from a government owned enterprise?
30 mpg and crazy towing capability.
The US govt has seem to want to do all it can to keep clean diesels out of the US. From whatever sources. Too afraid it will cut into the diesel supply for truckers, and too afraid it will improve the numbers for fuel efficiency without being a pet pc way to do so (hybrid/electric/hydrogen).
