Caitlyn Jenner trivializes the momentousness of what it means to be a woman

Bruce Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner is the most famous man and woman on the planet. (My software balked at being forced to allow that sentence).

She’s a bit of a throwback, Caitlyn, as if time had stopped for her 50 years ago when Bruce had his first inkling that something was a little amiss in him (or should I say “a little miss” in him.)

When this month’s Vanity Fair edition with Caitlyn on the cover came out, the media had a field day dissecting her “look.” Some fans objected to this obsession with her appearance, suggesting she was being subjected to treatment men wouldn’t receive, and implying the attention was sexist. Comedian Jon Stewart won plaudits for “brilliance” when he observed, “You see, Caitlyn, when you were a man, we could talk about your athleticism, your business acumen. But now you’re a woman and your looks are the only thing we care about.”

You have to wonder why women in general aren't kicking up more of a fuss about all these men who are intruding upon what small territory they have left for themselves.

Boys are now allowed to join the Girl Scouts. They are now allowed to enter the women's restrooms. They are even elected homecoming queen and all they have to do it put on a dress and heels and show up at the prom.

Think about that one. Any boy who dresses like a girl and attends a prom is pretty much automatically made the homecoming queen. Otherwise, it would show how "intolerant" the school is if an actual girl was selected over the "brave" boy who is exploring gender roles.

So Bruce Jenner is now featured "cupcake" on the cover of Vanity Fair, so even "pin-up girl" is being taken away from the regular girls.

It seems that society is telling us that boys are better than girls at everything - including being girls, apparently.

For whatever their reason(s), Bruce's mind and emotions have been telling his self a compelling little lie he then made more convincing for the mirror.

Sorry, but no matter what the mirror might say, I'm not convinced of his "new" truth, but still believe the "old" truth that every cell in his body is telling via his DNA.

Whatever mental/emotional struggle/struggles he's dealing with has/have been made even more difficult and, in no small measure, thanks to those he hired for help, his friends and his family.

Now he's been turned into a freaky take on an old story.
Sampson hooked up with the wrong woman and lost his hair and strength.
Jenner hooks up with Kardashians and...yikes, wtf, over?!?

The moral of this story is God, please help this poor, tortured soul.

So what, exactly, does this do to Title IX?

Believe it or not the NCAA already has rules about who qualifies as a woman, based mostly on the length of time hormone treatment has been in effect. Apparently they don't do much about the "I want to be young again" aspect however, since one 50 year old 200+ lb individual has now become the first person to play college basketball both as a man and a woman.
