The first Vacation is still pretty solid. Ferris Bueller never really did it for me, I can see where it’s good but I just never connected with it.
I used to think that Ferris was too tied to Gen Xers to appeal to later generations but apparently it’s still popular with young people. It has a lot of suburban ennui and satire that I didn’t notice when I saw it as a kid.
