I've found grated ginger and lemon balm brewed with honey really helps stomach problems. Also a probiotic called BC 30 which is marketed as a capsule or in food helps a great deal. Maybe this link will help others find solutions too.

Vernor’s Ginger Ale! A burp from every swallow!
I like Reed’s Ginger Ale even better.

Ginger, and deglicerized licorice are good for a simple upset, but for chronic problems, HCL capsules and probiotics are the only solution.

Antacids are in general part of the problem, not in any way part of a solution. Low acid production is usually the cause of indigestion, which comes from the lactic acid that is formed by rotting food in the stomach and gut.

Myth Busters did a segment on nausea, digestion, etc. After experimenting with several different remedies, their conclusion was that ginger won the contest.

I have that problem when I pig out. Last time was sometime in the eighties. At 66 I have gone up two inches on my waist size since I graduated from High School (But that could be because I don’t wear my pants so tight nowadays).
