At no time did Josh confess without being first confronted. And the behavior repeated itself even after he was cautioned against it the first time.

not fiction. Read the report. The report that has been released is from the 2006 investigation by the police. On page 14 of the report, where the first interview is written down, it says that Josh came to the parents upset and confessed to what he had done.
Lot had a lot of problems (no pun intended) but God called him “just” in 2 Peter 2:7 and rescued him from destruction. I would rather be among the righteous than among the Sodomites.
After he was confronted. Mom and dad knew in March of 02 they had a ‘toucher’ in the family. Do you think they played possum till July with that many girls under one roof?
Even so, he repeated and escalated the behavior. It went from touching sleeping sisters on top of clothing to forcibly fondling the fully awake 8yr old sister in the laundry room after he picked her up and placed her on the washer/dryer.
I find it suspicious that Josh himself hasn’t said anything about all of this. Instead he sends out his parents and the victims to do damage control...
And I still want to know where he learned this stuff. I find it ‘interesting’ that a close family friend went away for kiddie porn in the 2-13yrs female age range. What sort of contact did this person have with preteen/pubescent Josh? Did they have any fishing trips, camping trips or other incidents where Josh would have been exposed to highly inappropriate pictures and videos that gave him ideas with his preschool sister(s)? Also interesting is that in ‘07 the trooper was sent away for kiddie porn the first time. Late ‘06/’07 is when the FINS investigation would have been conducted. Maybe Josh outed the trooper then.
It is interesting that the Duggars know so many people like this (ex preacher for instance). Perhaps for the same reason bank robbers rob banks, that’s where the money is. Pedos insinuate themselves with large families with tired and overworked moms and dads for a reason...

Wow. Never really expected you to come out and admit this. I doubted you would even admit it to yourself. But if you think the VICTIMS deserve hatred, you have serious issues that discredit pretty much everything you are posting on this subject. You are not looking at this issue through tinted or distorted lenses. You are just blinded by your own bitterness.
I seem to recall you saying you had been victimized in a similar way. If so, I hope you find healing and admire your courage for speaking out. However, wishing hatred toward the victims in this case means you, by your own sense of morality, deserve hatred and animosity directed your way. Hope you open your eyes to your own self-destructive attitude before you get what you wish for.

That just doesn't make much sense. Why send Josh to a cop that could potentially put him in the Juvenile Justice system if he was "cured"?
The rehab program actually was a Gothard facility in Little Rock that needed refurbishment, it was agreed upon by Jimbob and church elders.
I think Jimbob went to this cop that had done favors for him before to read Josh the riot act because he was still molesting.
Jimbob asked for it to be off the record to keep Josh out of the Juvenile Justice System and the pedophile cop gets excited hearing Josh detail the molestation and scaring him so he wouldn't want him out of reach in the Juvenile System either.
I don't think it's likely that Jimbob knew of the cops pedophilia, he just thought he was a nice helpful guy he could trust.
The part where the parents aren’t truthful in the interview is this. In the interview they stated it was just curiousity and touching them while they were asleeep and over their clothes.
Directly contradicted by the police report stating the 8yr old was awake and forcibly fondled under NEATH her clothes.
I’m sure there are other incidents where I could find direct, material, contradictions with their sworn statements to the police in ‘06.
I suspect the police report is the *least* of what happened in the whole affair. We’ll never know, and it should NOT have been released in the way that it was. However, as I’ve stated upthread, JimBob outclevered himself when he let the statute of limitations expire before any official statements were made other than to the ‘family friend’ trooper, apparently off the record. Had JimBob done the right thing at the right time, ALL records would have been sealed by juvie court and no one would have any idea.
JimBob has hurt both Josh and his sisters with all this. Both of them needed a PARENT. What they got was the watergate plumbers. And just as apt.
As I watched the interview, the wife escorted Megyn into the kitchen. Megyn had her back to the open livingroom door.
