The CAT is faster and will let you know right away if the stroke was an aneurism. If nothing found, MRI would help diagnose an ischemic stroke. That is my understanding after my wife’s stroke anyway.

Went through both one night a couple years back with a one time and inexplicable episode. Thought I was having one. Didn’t though. Almost did when I got the bill.
