What would a non-smoking, non-drinking vegetarian want with booze and cigs and salami? And the booze is the first thing the Red Army would have grabbed. I doubt this story.
That stuff was gold, and Hitler could use it for guests and VIP.
Anyone in WWII would have coveted such wealth and power, even if they were non-smokers and meat eaters themselves.
It does seem an unlikely story; however:
