I wouldn't even consider seeing this guy's movies. Despise him. Remember when his idea of a perk for electing his dad was voters getting to see him in the district often? The worst thing was when he was on an east coast talk show to promote his movie one night and flew to the west coast for another show the next. He said, "Stars today have it rougher than Clark Gable." You mean apart from his wife dying in a plane crash while traveling the country to drum up support for war bonds, followed by him enlisting and flying bombing missions over Germany? Is that how you have it tougher?

I'm a guy, so not the best judge, but I don't get how he's supposed to be so good looking. I can see it with Pitt, whom I also dislike. But this guy? Whatever.

Like Charleton Heston said about him: “I guess class skips a generation” ha ha. He was referring to his Aunt Rosemary Clooney who Heston liked.

I’ve seen “The Gameplan” a dozen times courtesy of my daughter.

I haven't seen that one. I'll have to check it out.

Ocean's Eleven had to have won an audience or they wouldn't have had two sequels.

I couldn't finish Leatherheads -- nice concept, but too dumb, too much Clooney, too much Zellweger and Krasinski for that matter). Can't say I liked Intolerable Cruelty either -- the Coen brothers' movie I liked least.

Burn After Reading wasn't awful, but it's reminiscent of those political pictures he's always making. The serious ones, like The Ides of March, Michael Clayton, and Good Night and Good Luck weren't so bad if you could put up with the politics, but the "funny" ones, like Men Who Stare At Goats didn't go down well with me.

Monuments Men was a monumental snooze, but The Descendants was very good when Clooney was a hopeless sap (and not so good when he got all noble and idealistic). Three Kings -- going back to the 90s -- was very good. Syriana not so good (from what I remember of it).

Just my opinion.

The John Adams series was CGIed as well, but only for sets, not the action itself, same as O’Brother. In neither case, did CGI detract from the story, but CGI WASN’T the story as is the case with all the comic book movies and modern scifi movies, which I don’t go to see anymore because they all are pretty much the same and pretty much are like watching someone else play a video game.

My wife is a huge wrestling fan, her only real shortcoming.

My boss back in the day knew it and scored free tickets and passes to a meet and greet before the show.

Dwayne Johnson was a big star at the time, but he was really nice and spoke with everyone.
He was definitely NOT in love with himself.
Completely different from his in ring persona.

Clooney on the other hand, I just seem to sense that he has an extremely high opinion of himself.

Dumb is never good looking. Not even close.

The ring personas are pretty good work experience to go into the acting profession. Dwayne Johnson has made the transition seamlessly. :)

He does appear to be a genuinely joy filled person.

Yup. He is a legend in his own mind.
