While I’m sure he knew what he was doing was wrong at the time, I don’t think a 12-14 year old can really understand or appreciate (for lack of a better word) the seriousness of something like that, nor the effect it can have on the girls he molested.
It’s to his credit that he owned up to it. That cannot have been easy under any circumstances. I sure would not want any of my dirty laundry aired, even decades later.

Really?? He only owned up to it AFTER the truth came out.

Does this sound like a remorseful, penitent young man to you? Or does this sound like a child predator whose parents essentially let him get away with it (Jim Bob sent Josh to build houses with a family friend instead of getting real therapy, and the LEO Jim Bob had Josh talk to turned out to be a child pornographer).
I’m continually sickened by apologists for the Duggars on what I thought was a forum for moral, upright, conservative people.
