I realize labels like “stupid” are the weapon of choice for the Democrat Party so we have Reagan, GHW Bush, GW Bush, Quail, Palin, and now I guess Walker ,Ted Cruz and God knows who all contending with this absurdity. It is fairly well know that the “most stupid” president was GW Bush (according to the comedians and pundits)But if one paid attention Karl Rove was having a race with him to see who could read the most books.( mainly history) Has anyone asked Barack what he has read lately? If so, I haven’t seen it.

LOL guys, I posted this because I could not understand why HOUSE OF CARDS would defend George H.W. Bush on this scanner meme, a full twenty-one years after it happened.
The episode that piqued my interest in the Bush scanner was a scene in the first season of HOUSE OF CARDS.
Why are Hollywood Libs defending HW Bush?
It’s just as weird as when HBO premiered GAME CHANGE in March of 2012 and then in May of that same year, premiered a loving documentary of HW Bush.
Feel free to continue living the delusion that a man who was a naval aviator, congressman, CIA director, VP and POTUS can be a stupid moron.

I don’t think they were defending him. The original books work a lot like The Godfather, it fictionalizes a lot of real incidents both for verisimilitude and “reveal” events. They trust most people won’t remember or care who was in the “root” event.
I don’t think the video shows the-man-whom-Reagan-hated as being “a moron”; this is the same year as Bush deferred to the UN on Saddam and strangely heralded the NWO in his infamous speeches.
(Though it was three years until we found out that HW Bush was against the NRA and the second amendment.)
As another Hollywood producer said of these UN lovers, perhaps Bush was mesmerized by the scanners because “they are all waiting for the day when the masses get computer-chipped”.

What is weird is you trying to rewrite the facts, to help the left keep alive a myth.
I don't know who the producers are, but the show itself doesn't promote liberal bias. It shows both parties as phony and corrupt, with the worst scumbag of the bunch being a Democrat. In other words it's a pretty accurate portrayal of DC politics. The West Wing it ain't.
Plus, the reference to the 1992 Bush scanner meme comes in the middle of the narrative about Frank killing his journalist/lover within our own 2013 post election political understanding; the scene about her journalist friend teaching a class in upstate New York is superfluous and her Bush quote was completely random. Why they kept the scene is very weird in terms of plot and shooting schedule$. There are plenty of other, more current political urban myths for liberals in Hollywood to discuss, starting with the birth certificate. It was just strange that they chose a Bush.

LOL. I stumped hard for HW and his son, and argued for them for years and years.
Until I realized the Bush White House had the people working on the McCain campaign who utterly tried to demolish Sarah Palin.
That’s when I woke up about the Bushes, to my everlasting chagrin. They tried to destroy Palin from the lame duck Bush White House. Rove was already going off on Palin/McCain by mid September 2008.
