First things first.

1. There are two - three neighborhoods where all the violence occurs. They are Gresham (South side of Chicago) Englewood (also South side of Chicago) and Austin (near West side of Chicago.)

2. Before Conceal/Carry was passed and enacted, it was not unusual to see anywhere from 5-10 murders with dozens of injuries on a warm summer weekend.

3. The biggest spike in murders typically happens the first warm weekend in Spring. Warm meaning above 70 degrees. Seems the gang bangers don't like going out in the cold.
