I went back to the thread and took a look. It was an out of context quote.
This sickoflib's character was simply mocking most responses to him. On one post he claimed not to know what Google was. On another he said he thought Sarah Palin was a famous singer.
So I don't think his military remark was specifically anti-military. It was just part of that whole rhythm he had built up.
Regardless, the remark was in very poor taste, especially considering what day this is. If I ran this site, I'd give him a temporary suspension just to get his mind right.
as an ordinarily terribly sarcastic type.. Ive had people seem to take offense over such items as a Fake Drudge Report..IMAGE that i’d posted. Seemingly they assumed that I was trying to present a purposeful FRAUD..and not a Parody.
Ive explained the purpose of such parodies and cleared up the matter wherever possible as its not much fun to be misunderstood.
That being said there are matters which might require a bit more thought.. this would qualify as one of them.
Sarcasm can be an entertaining “tool” but as powerful as it is, it can also be needlessly hurtful if not used thoughtfully.
