How do we know the victims have moved on? Did you talk to them?

While you’re preaching, you might want to give some thought to avoiding the bearing of false witness-—i.e., labeling those who recognize an admitted abuser as bitter, selfish, alienating, etc.

You just said it yourself-—you can’t examine anyone’s life to “reveal their hypocrisy”, as you put it. So I would suggest you find another way to deal with your anger over your idolization of the Duggars.

I have never idolized the Duggars. I have always looked at them as sinners saved by the grace of God. In fact, I believe that is what most Christians who have watched their family a couple times would say as well.

I have also not bore false witness against anyone, but rather have sat back in amazement at the vitriol and accusations leveled at the Duggars.

I merely speculated that it is possible people are looking at their own messed up lives and allowing emotion, rather than objective fact, to guide their thinking.

Are you bitter? Jesus Christ died to help you!
