It seems like there's an on-demand app for everything these days.
What about dog walking? Theres now an app for that. A Los Angeles based company recently launched its Wag app in San Francisco.
Through Wag, you can request a dog walker within 30 minutes and even schedule regular walks. The app is free to download, but a walk will cost $20 for 30 minutes and $30 for an hour. The walker can pick up and drop off your dog up from your home.
Wag says it runs background checks on every employee, and insures them.

Shouldn’t that be Waggr? I don’t know if it’s legal to launch a tech service that doesn’t end in R.
I am lucky...my dog sitter lives across the street...but I have had to call him rather often for "emergency" walks/potty breaks when I have been delayed for one reason or another. If I wasn't lucky enough to have this arrangement it would be great to have several people "on call."
For the record, my neighbor started his business when he retired...he makes a LOT of money.
His career went to the dogs.
LOL! His career DID go to the dogs...and he is perfectly happy about it. I’m sure he is making over $50K...and he just started the business last year after he retired (with a pension, I might add).
Now that I think about it, I am going to ask him if he needs to “franchise”...I’ll be the first.
Future History come to life, sort of!
