The Safeway store in question is about three blocks from where I'm sitting here in west Olympia; do about 80% of my grocery shopping there. Things are fairly low-key here.
As long as both of the perps survive, and that seems to be a strong possibility, the Al Sharlaton crowd will probably stay away. We can hope.

As an example, Olympia is the home of Evergreen State College, the Alma Mater of Rachel Corrie. She is known in song and story for trying to stop an Israeli D8 armored bulldozer with her body. The result was less than totally successful. (She's known now as the patron saint of pancakes...)

I drive that stretch of I-5 in the Big Block at 85/90 so I don’t have a lot of time to rubberneck but I have indeed seen a little spill-over from Ft. Lewis/McCord——you know by the base passes on the vehicles. But that ain’t the skateboard brewski crowd.
