I’m sure their #1 concern right now is Islam - they just have no trouble saying out loud what we no longer dare to.
Probably not, since they openly aid Islamic terrorism especially against the “Satans” of that “religion”.
Christianity, especially, is revolutionary to the established order. China is a bureaucratic oligarchy that requires all of its institutions to adhere to a specific political path. Christianity is by its nature outside this path.
Christian leaders in China are under no illusions about the government’s hostility to their faith. The notion that religion must be free of foreign influence is a xenophobic reaction to the danger Christianity represents to the established order of China.
