Only one in four Americans, 26 percent, say they are satisfied with the way things are going in this country, a new Gallup Poll finds. Or, viewed another way, 74 percent of Americans apparently are dissatisfied.
Americans still list government, the economy and unemployment as top problems, even though the unemployment rate continues to drop.
Between May 6 and 10, Gallup asked a random sample of 1,024 adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia: “In general, are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States at this time?”
Twenty-six percent said they were satisfied, and that was down six points from January, when 32 percent of Americans said they were satisfied with the direction of the country. …

Polls such as this are meaningless these days, insofar as elections are concerned. It’s all about demographics now. The ‘RATs are rapidly expanding their gibmedat base, and they will vote one way, issues be damned.

So people are simply unable to connect the dots.... The top problems all fall under the column of OBAMA. But maybe they do get it, they did vote the GOP to control the house last time.
The 26% all work for the government or are married to a government employee.
The only reason for that is the way nobama and his goons at BLS calculate it.
If I'm unemployed and decide to quit looking for work, I'm no longer considered. Enough people like that and the unemployment rate HAS to go down.
To get an accurate picture, I much prefer to use the percentage of people not working (that link is from Jan, 2015).
