Do you do that now? I would suggest you not do that. You should pay your own bills. If someone injures you, you should have a civil claim against them.
If one is injured in causing an accident - in this case from not wearing a seatbelt - and has no insurance, it’s the taxpayer who picks up the tab. And oft times inordinately so.
