Bristol Palin will not be saying "I do" this Memorial Day Weekend. The Dancing With the Stars alum, 24, was planning to marry Marine Dakota Meyer on Saturday, May 23, but has called off her wedding, mom Sarah Palin revealed via Facebook on Monday, May 18.
The former Republican vice presidential candidate, 51, broke the news by sharing a picture of a quote from InstaGod Ministries: "Trust in God's timing. It's better to wait a while and have things fall into place than to rush and have things fall apart."

Below the photo, she included a note about her daughter's engagement, writing: "Bristol and Dakota couldn't be more thankful for the love and support of family and friends over the past months while preparing for their wedding. They have informed loved ones that unfortunately the announced celebration planned for May 23 will not be held."
Instead, their families will meet to "celebrate life," Alaska’s ex-governor shared. There may not be a wedding, but there will be a party.

I read Dakota was previously married but I’m not sure if he was divorced. He did not tell Bristol about this marriage.
I don’t know it’s all mixed up.Maybe it will get straiten out before Saturday.I like them a lot as a couple.

Oh no, he’s quite serious. Bristol Palin is like the Virgin Mary (except for the Virgin part). She would never get in a drunken brawl, or live with some guy outside of marriage, or anything of the sort!!
Well I’ve read a little more.He is divorced.He is still friends with the ex-wife.They just married young and realized it was a mistake.Her best friend is the one that started this.Prayers for all.

As a fine young Christian woman, she knows that “living with a guy” (cohabitation) is adultery. It’s simply not plausible that Bristol Palin would do anything of the sort, violating one of Almighty God’s Ten Commandments.

Methinks you are preaching to the wrong choir. You need to get with Bristol, Dakota and their respective parents about Dakota using Twitter to announce that he and Bristol are (I guess were, now) living together.
It looks like the delay was due to Dakota’s twitter that they were living together. I’m sure Bristol didn’t appreciate that being broadcast all over social media.
Though Dakota violated her privacy, Bristol’s living together before marriage doesn’t exactly show Godly behavior that she espouses. I would say both have some more growing up to do.

Same here, sounds like they are still friends so waiting a bit wouldn't hurt.
Look at it this way. Bristol and Dakota could have married with no announcements at all. They could have announced the marriage after it was already done.
