Lou Dobbs on Roger Goodell's Failure (Deflategate)
Lou Dobbs ^ | 12 May 15 | Lou Dobbs

Roger Goodell is now leading the NFL from behind, trying to preserve his job at all costs. Whether to the truth, to proportionality, to fairness and balance, or further immense cost to the NFL itself. Coercive leadership without regard to consequence, wielding power without regard for facts and truth is far more consistent with the authoritarian tone and style. That seems to have become the preferred style of liberal Washington. And I think this time Goodell has provoked a public relations battle, a legal battle that he will lose. And in losing those battles, he may well lose his job. Appropriately, in my opinion.

Does Goodell qualify as a hero under the famous liberal mantra, "It's not the hard evidence, stupid....it's the seriousness of the charge?"

I stand corrected. CHI should have made it to 100 points.

IND will be whining on that day. Bet the “over”.

Tied for the greatest game in Bears history.

They almost ran out footballs because so many PATS went into the stands so they asked the Bears to switch to 2-point conversion attempts. And one Bears player didn’t wear a helmet (that was the last time that happened in the NFL). Dick Plasman.

Wonderful info. Thank you, I wasn’t aware of the intimacies of that game.

The other co-greatest game: The 1985 Bears winning the SB?

From another FR thread and Breitbart:

Yeah, I can’t choose between them.

1940 was the Championship game and is the NFL record for points scored by 1 team and margin of victory.

And the Superbowl was, the Superbowl. I gotta call it a draw.

Patriots fired the two employees who handled the ball

Patriots asked Ted Wells if the were part of a sting

Patriots have already been convicted of cheating

It was understood that Sean Peyton of the Saints had no part of Bounty Gate

Lost a Year of coaching and a 5 Million Dollar salary and the Saints have never been the same.

We have the good word of the Patriots they did nothing?

Why fire the two ball boys?

Why asked if it was a sting

Just like Hillary no electronic data turned over?

I agree.

But boy...that SB was a joy to watch. EXCEPT that Walter Payton didn’t score a TD. That sucked.

In MYNHO this could all be avoided by simply putting the refs in charge of all the game balls. When one team or the other needs s fresh ball they get it from a ref.

Seems to work great for baseball.

Kraft conciliates, won’t appeal. I wonder what happened behind the scenes.

The owner can’t appeal anyways. Part of the by laws of the league.

Brady will go to court and win.
