If that's the best song Paul McCartney ever wrote, then that bar is set pretty low. The song is worthless synth pop garbage ... much like everything else he's ever written.
The funny thing about “Ebony and Ivory” is that it isn’t the worst Michael Jackson duet. After all, since we could easily imagine it being performed by the Sidwell Friends 9th grade choir, it must at least have a melody, right? Compare that with “State of Shock”, which MJ did with the other MJ (Mick Jagger). That song was on the local south side Chicago radio station’s 5 song play list in heavy rotation in the summer of 1984, when I was doing minimum wage data entry at the National Opinion Research Center (NORC). That job was purgatory due to that “song”, which I assume was done when the MJ’s were drinking together one night, and joked that they were SO big, ANYthing they put out would be a big hit. They were right.
D-bags for Hillary!
I think he represents the America that I know................. The America I knew disappeared in the late 60’s. What America does he know? The one with rainbows and uincorns?
Me too... I liked that old stuff. I did see his brother play once at a campus bar back in the 70's and he was pretty good too.
The best part of that song was Learch with his eyes closed acting like he was being moved by that droll.
good drugs ‘ll do that for ya
He makes me sick....and his music is gay as hell.
“James,
Just shut up and sing!”
No,...just shut up.
Yeah, keep on buying his music!!
Who?
I will. I can distinguish between talent and politics.
Good! Then keep right on funding James Taylor!!
