There won’t be a Windows 11.

Windows as a Service was announced last week. Upgrades to features, UI, and other components will happen ad hoc.

So, Microsoft Windows 10 has become Microsoft Windows X. . . even more like Apple OS 10, or Apple OS X. . . LOL!

Microsoft is then essentially dropping the road map. . .

You should be able to get a free upgrade from 7, 8, or 8.1 any time within the first year after 10 is released.

Will it be worth it is the question.
I have a touch screen computer just purchased with 8.1 that I guess has to be updated with 10 pro, can’t wait to see if that is available or an issue.

So far the 8.1 browser is a loser and I had to download Google Chrome and Firefox.
The rest is little issue.

I have found adding USB printers to Ubuntu and Linux Mint to be automatic and therefore could not be easier, if someone in the Linux community has added the definitions for the model you have.

Have an HP Envy 7640. I run hplip on Ubuntu 15.04. It's an open source HP Linux Imaging and Printing client--Print, Scan and Fax Drivers for Linux.

I think the question is actually "Will it be worth it to me."

And ultimately you'll be the only one that can answer that question, but I think you'll find no shortage of people all too eager to answer it for you.

Right, the issue of compatibility with the internet of the future is the issue.
I might not use explorer but there is Windows Media player and such and the new the operating system the more likely your computer can stay connected it’s full life.

It comes with a new browser (Edge) that’s going to be the platform for future development, so if that’s your primary concern you might want to do some research on that.

I’ll try it before the others then.
