The automotive industry has seen many changes over the years. Some once commonplace features in cars are now relics of the an almost forgotten past. Some less expensive cars sold today may offer some of these on their base models, it is becoming more and more difficult to find these features. So you wish any of these were still around...?

Oh, yeah, mine has a cigarette lighter too.
Back facing seats.
A place to put your orange 76 ball.
Me either. I always wear my belt, but I always found the automatic ones a pain.
We had 460 air conditioning. 4 windows, 60 mph.
Back in the ‘60s, I had a 4 track tape player in my car which I later replaced with a newer model 8 track player. A friend of mine had a deck that played 45 rpm records in his ‘56 Chevy.
Hood release outside...and NOT anywhere near the emergency brake release inside (got tired there for awhile trying to drive away but having to get out and close my hood first).
Good post.
I would add chrome bumpers, white walls, radio antenna mast, points, and carburetors.
Push button shifting
I really miss those little triangular windows, they were the best.
Dimmer switch on the left floor, starter button on the right near the accelerator. vacuum operated windshield wipers.
“A friend of mine had a deck that played 45 rpm records in his 56 Chevy.”
Extremely cool.
And don't forget these:
Carburetor...points...rotor...lots of gone stuff...a round air cleaner cover with a wing shiny wing nut...so much more gone
Made it easier to throw your cigarette butt out the window.
One of my patients last week came in for an exam. He was blind in one eye.
How did that happen?
Oh that, I was in an accident as a kid in 1965. I got thrown forward into the ashtray. Lost my eye.
Boy, you wouldn't hear THAT in 2015.
I miss having a full size pull-out ash tray and a cigarette lighter, but I also miss the loud ‘click-clock’ sound of the old turn signals. Theses days, they’re so quiet, I have to look down at the dash indicator to make sure my signal has cancelled.
I also miss style. American cars were once so unique, that every model was distinctly different from every other. So much so, that most kids in the 60s could tell you the make and model of every car they saw on the road.
Don’t forget the outside radio antenna that always got stolen by vandals, broken or bent driving through at the carwash or drive-in, or finally just fell off. Many luxury cars had a retractable antenna, but they had their problems too. Like permanently sticking in the up or down position.
