Rich people make poor decisions. Arte Moreno of the Angels baseball team spent $240 million on Albert Pujols who is hitting .230. Moreno also spent $125 million on Josh Hamilton who hit .263 in 89 games last year; he is not playing this year.
The Getty museum purchased Van Gogh’s Irises for $54 million in 1987. That is a beautiful painting.
