Not an event, but I would like to see an honest movie about Stalin, and all the people whose deaths he’s responsible for. I’d also like to see an honest movie about the failures of communism. For that matter, I’d also like to see an honest movie depiction of what’s happened in Venezuela over the past 15 years.
A movie about Soviet / communist propaganda and its effects on the West would also be good.
I think I’d like an honest movie about Mohammed. An honest movie about Che. And maybe a Biblical movie about Samson vs Goliath.
How about a movie celebrating diverse cultures, a movie about the discovery of Kuru among the Papua cannibals?
How about “The Gulag Archipelago”?

I watched this during the Maiden Riots. This history must have been made just a few years before - as the had a few people talking about if they should be European or Russian.
It talks of course about the entire history, including Stalin’s ruthlessness.
The statue in the Maiden Plaza is of one of the first rulers of Ukraine - Vikings!

I’ve found this one to be useful when teaching about the Soviet Union....
